Hazler

Her biggest influences are no-frills, badass women songwriters like Elle Cordova (Reina del Cid), The Indigo Girls, Kathleen Edwards, Patty Griffin, and K.T. Tunstall. Accompanying herself on piano or acoustic guitar, she performs frequently as a solo artist, as half of the acoustic duo Haze & Dacey, and occasionally as part of a trio or full band.

Jeff Marble

Jeff MarbleJeff Marble hails from Luray, VA. Newly retired from nearly 40 years of ministry in the Lutheran Church, he has kept up his musical interest by singing in church, in a folk duo, and even a bluegrass band named the "Kingdom Stompers". Now that he has some time on his hands, he's relearning songs from his youth and exploring new songs. Folk music, a bit of bluegrass, some sing-a-longs, and some comical surprises - he's hoping you'll have a good time as you join him on the journey.

Mike McCray

Mike McCray - Shenandoah National ParkAfter years of playing various styles of music in several different bands, Mike decided to go solo with his own type of music. For lack of a better term, it can be called contemporary folk, but with influences ranging from traditional American to swing, and from bluegrass to rock, his is not your normal coffee-house folk. An educator, historian, writer and farmer, Mike uses the songs he has collected and composed to tell stories that make you think, laugh, remember and learn. He's been playing in Shenandoah National Park for 15 years now.

Rich Follett

Richard Follett - Shenandoah National ParkRich performs easy-on-the-ears acoustic folk music. His song list includes familiar tunes from the 1920s to the present as well as his original compositions, which offer insightful lyrics and inviting melodies you will want to hear over and over again. Rich is a public school teacher whose program is punctuated with interesting anecdotes and true stories from his classroom experiences. One of Rich's CDs received the following review from Amazon.com: "Rich Follett's melodies are not only soothing to listen to, his lyrics speak right to your heart with feelings only he seems to be able to put to words. His voice is like velvet, and people just want to stop and hear it."

Shenandoah Valley Cloggers

Shenandoah Valley CloggersThe Shenandoah Valley Cloggers Inc., formed in 1984, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Appalachian clogging, a distinctive form of American folk dance, which encompasses many different traditions of step dances with Scottish, English, Dutch and German roots. Since 1984, the troupe has been performing on select evenings at Skyland in Shenandoah National Park. A teacher, backpacker, and son of biologists, he crafts unique and moving musical expressions of nature and heritage that have inspired countless visitors with Blue Ridge content and meaning!

Tommy Rueckert

Tommy Rueckert - Shenandoah National ParkTommy has been performing in the DC area for many years, with various songs featured on Mary Cliff's Traditions show on PBS and on Dick Cerri's Music Americana Showcase. He has opened for national acts such as Odetta at the Cellar Door, Grover Margaret and ZaZuZaz at Desperados, Tim Eyerman and the East Coast Offering at Eskimo Nells, and more recently for the Street Back Sisters at Jammin' Java in Vienna. He has released two albums/CDs, "The Journey" and "Beneath a Tree" with songs co-written by his sister Carla. The heart of his music is the golden age of pop/folk from the 70s, but he ventures into newer music upon request. Other than Big Meadows and Skyland - his favorite places to play - Tommy performs every Saturday night at Boccato Gelato and Espresso in Arlington, VA. If you live in the DC area he would love for you to stop by and bring some Shenandoah spirit with you!
